Christina is a multidisciplinary movement artist specializing in rhythmic gymnastics, contemporary dance, and circus arts. A former U.S. National Team rhythmic gymnast, she trained at the Olympic Training Center and graduated as a dance major from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School. She was part of From The Soil Movement Intensive in 2023 and 2024. Her performance work includes collaborations with Eryc Taylor Dance, contributing original choreography and performing a featured duet. She currently serves as rehearsal director for Taylor’s upcoming work, The Knowing. Expanding into aerial arts, Christina trains on Lyra and hammock, performing original aerial works by ANKOLE Inc. She brings versatility, passion, and vision to every space, stating, “I am grateful to be able to continue working with Eryc Taylor Dance.”
Kayla Laufer (she/her) is a contemporary dancer, choreographer, and technologist whose work lives at the intersection of movement, sound, and code. She holds a BFA in Dance from the Johns Hopkins Peabody Conservatory and an M.S. in Computer Science from Fordham University. Her choreography has been presented at the Young Choreographers Festival, Bloom Emerging Artist Festival, Koresh Artist Showcase, and more. In 2024, she was awarded the ETD New Choreographer Grant and premiered new work at the Martha Graham Studio Theater. That same year, she participated in the inaugural ChoreoTech Lab at Jacob’s Pillow, where she began integrating AI and AR into the choreographic process as tools to expand creative possibilities. As a performer, Kayla has danced with Chris Ferris & Dancers, Rebecca & Mats van Rossum, Chutzpah Dance Company, Vivake Khamsingsavath, and Lourdes del Mar. She is also the co-founder of Melody in Motion, a collaborative project exploring real-time interplay between dance and live music. Kayla is thrilled to be working with Eryc Taylor Dance as both a dancer and rehearsal director.
Kayleigh Bowen (she/her) is a dancer and choreographer. 2025 is her third season as a company member with Carolyn Dorfman Dance. She graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance in 2022. During her studies, she performed choreography by Paul Taylor, Twyla Tharp, Sidra Bell, and Jenn Freeman. Kayleigh was a member of the Gibney Pro Professional Certificate Pilot Program. She is an alumnus of The School at Jacob’s Pillow’s Contemporary (2021) and Musical Theater (2022) programs. She has performed for The Table of Silence Project as well as at the Joyce Theater for Destiny Rising. She is so thrilled to be joining the Eryc Taylor Dance cohort for this work!
Aviana Goodman-Fish is a dancer and choreographer originally from Portland, Oregon, and currently based in Brooklyn, New York. She received her B.A. in Dance in 2024 from Loyola Marymount University and has additionally trained at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, SALT Contemporary Dance, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Vertigo Dance Company, and Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company. Aviana has performed work by Doug Varone, Aszure Barton, and Dana Wilson. Most recently, she has performed with SarAika Dance Collective and Nickerson-Rossi Dance. In addition to performing, she is a Polestar-certified Pilates instructor, integrating principles of alignment, strength, and fluidity into her movement practice. Aviana is excited to be working with Eryc Taylor Dance!
Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Rio began her ballet training at Studio Venus in Japan and later studied tap and jazz. In 2017, she moved to New York and received a scholarship to study at The Ailey School (2017–2019). She attended the summer intensive at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C., and received a scholarship to the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Summer Program in 2019. Rio has worked with artists including Ronni Favors, Peiju Chien-Pott, Darshan Singh Bhuller, Jacek Luminski and Peter Chu. She has been a member of the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company since 2020 and is a certified GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® instructor. She is beyond excited to join Eryc Taylor Dance.
Claire Schiffer (she/her) was adopted from South Korea and grew up in Florida. Claire has been a company member with Gaspard & Dancers for two seasons now. She graduated from University of North Carolina School of the Arts high school program in 2021 and continued her training there, receiving her BFA in Contemporary Dance in 2024. She has had the privilege of performing works by Robert Battle, Jose Limon, Trisha Brown, Igal Perry, Jim Vincent, Juel D. Lane, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Ashley Lindsey, Dwana A. Smallwood, Amyia Burrell, and Gaspard Louis. Elsewhere, she has worked with Jennifer Archibald, Sidra Bell, Betsi Graves, Antoine Vereecken, and Jon Lehrer. She has also trained with BODYTRAFFIC, A.I.M., Alonzo King LINES Ballet, and at The School at Jacob’s Pillow (2022) and UNCSA’s Professional Studies Program. In addition to dancing, Claire is a certified Classical Pilates Mat Instructor, held leadership positions in Student Government Association, and was the founder of the first Asian student organization at UNCSA, Asians Come Together. She is extremely excited and grateful to be joining Eryc Taylor Dance.
