As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, it’s a perfect time to pause, reflect, and express our heartfelt gratitude.
At Eryc Taylor Dance (ETD), we are not just a dance company—we are a family, a collective of artists, educators, supporters, and patrons who work tirelessly to inspire creativity, foster connection, and bring the transformative power of dance to as many lives as possible.
This Thanksgiving, we want to take a moment to thank every individual who makes our mission possible—from our dedicated team and instructors to our generous partners and funders who believe in the vision of ETD.
Honoring Our ETD Outreach Programs
The heart of our work lies in the ETD Outreach Program, which has touched countless lives in New York City and beyond. Through movement, creativity, and community engagement, our outreach workshops have offered participants a safe space to express themselves, connect with others, and explore new ways of being.
This year, we are especially grateful to our incredible team of instructors who bring these programs to life. Liviya, Savannah, Gabriela, and Cindy, along with all our ETD Outreach instructors, continue to create magic in the communities we serve. Their passion, resilience, and boundless creativity are the foundation of our success. Whether they are guiding participants through chair stretching exercises, introducing new choreographic tools, or simply holding space for connection, their work is a testament to the healing power of dance.
Our workshops, such as Art and Groove, The Art of Rhythm & Sound, and Express Yourself: ETDO Theater Workshop, have been made possible by the partnerships we’ve cultivated with organizations and communities. These programs have reached people from all walks of life, offering them a chance to find joy, self-expression, and healing through movement.

Behind every class, every performance, and every moment of inspiration, there is a network of incredible supporters. We are profoundly grateful to the Marta Heflin Foundation for their continued generosity and belief in our mission. Their support has been instrumental in ensuring that our programs flourish, particularly in helping us celebrate the 10th anniversary of the ETD New Choreographer Grant program.
We are equally thankful for the partnerships we’ve established with NYC ARTS, DCLA, LMCC, and NYSCA, whose funding has allowed us to expand our reach and impact. Their trust in our vision empowers us to dream bigger and serve more communities.
