ETD Performs at Dancers for Good on June 3rd / by Andrew Tran

On June 3rd, 2016 at 8am, ETD and I traveled to East Hampton with some of the most influential dancers in the contemporary dance world. Being one of the first contemporaries asked to join the evening's bill, to say that we are honored is an understatement! Our invitation to perform came from Michael Appuzo, co-founder of the Dancers for Good Foundation and current Paul Taylor Dance Company member.

The gala was hosted by actress, singer, and dancer Bebe Neuwirth, and included performances by Paul Taylor Dance, principal dancers from New York City Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, ROCK the Ballet, Broadway Dance Lab, Oui Danse, a premiere by Broadway dancers, and us! ETD performed "Song for Cello and Piano" with Nicole Baker, Chris Bell, Graham Cole, and AJ Guevara with original music by Daniel Tobias.

The 2017 Dancers for Good Gala benefits The Dancers' Resource/Career Transition For Dancers at The Actors Fund and the Paul Taylor Dance Foundation. Thank you to our hosts Michael Apuzzo, Eric Gunhus, David Nickle, Hal Rubinstein, and Bebe Neuwirth. I would also like to thank Daniel Tobias for composing our beautiful music, and Scooter LaForge for creating unique and innovative costumes. The piece would be nothing without our collaboration.

All proceeds were gifted to The Dancer’s Resource of The Actors Fund and The Paul Taylor Dance Foundation. So even though the event is over, please continue to do good by donating to these amazing organizations!
