D.R.E.A.M. Initiative

Dance Related Experience and Artistic Mentoring Program

Currently, aspiring to be or even working as a dancer in New York City is considered an impractical goal unless one can make it into a major, international dance company or perform on Broadway. This conception of dance has greatly hindered to pursuit of the performing arts, specifically dance, as New York City remains one of the most expensive cities to live in throughout the United States. In tandem with these facts, children of immigrants face even greater challenges, from lack of income to maintaining cultural integrity. With enough funding, Eryc Taylor Dance can expand its past successful dance class into the D.R.E.A.M. Project in order to foster more diverse, aspiring dancers.
